    2025-2026 MASFPS Directors’ Workshop Series

    11 SESSIONS:  September of 2025 thru June 2026

    (4 full days and 7 half days) All dates and times found on the flyer.

    Audience: All educators who are directing or implementing State & Federal Programs within a school, district, ISD, or public school academy.

    Brief Description: The Directors’ Workshop Series is a year-long opportunity for professional learning with colleagues from around the state. There are 11 full and half day virtual sessions to support new and veteran educators directing and/or implementing State and Federal Programs. Come join us for a year of learning with presenters from MASFPS, MDE Office of Educational Supports, MDE Office of Special Populations, and ISD Consultants.

    All sessions are recorded so that participants have the opportunity to watch the session at their convenience. The agenda and resources are also available year round to all registered participants.

    The sessions are all virtual, and a link will be emailed to registered participants the day prior to each session.

    Costs:
    Full Series - $750 for 11 sessions

    SCECHs: Free for participating hours

    MASFPS Finance 101 Workshop Series

    At your request...MASFPS will host a four-part workshop series focusing on the major components of the Financial aspects of implementing State and Federal Grant Programs. Learn and Do all at once in these four sessions.


    AUDIENCE:

    Directors of State and Federal Programs; Finance Directors; District Leaders


    OUTCOMES:

    1. Learn the intent and purpose of each grant program

    2. Learn best practices for collaborating with program directors

    3. Learn requirements for financial reporting of grant programs

    4. Learn the ins and outs of using the grant platforms and applications

    5. Learn about the financial policies required of State and Federal Grants

    6. Learn about fiscal and single audits for State and Federal Programs

    2025-2026 Parent and Family Engagement Series

    Description: Month by Month virtual Parent/Family Engagement Sessions for 1 hour each session will be used to provide facilitation around best practices, requirements, resources, and building a network of practitioners who share ideas on how to engage families in student learning and education.

    Participants/Teams will:

    • Review the MDE Parent/Family Engagement Template, for reviewing the PFE requirements

    • Review the On-Site Review Component IV for additional requirements 

    • Discuss implementation exemplars and ideas of PFE

    • Design future PFE activities based on information learned

    • Develop record keeping practices for PFE

    • Develop and track PFE evaluation data

    COST: $450/participant

    2025-2026 MASFPS Program Procedures for Compliance AND Commitment

    Target Audience: District teams of 3-5 program/fiscal leaders and practitioners with responsibilities related to state/federal programs. Teams must include a district program leader responsible for administering federal programs. 


    Purpose

    • Build shared understanding of the program procedures required under ESEA and reviewed by the MDE during on-site reviews and their relationship to fiscal procedures under the Uniform Grant Guidance. 

    • Shift perceptions about the value of program procedures from a compliance task to a mission-driven commitment

    • Build the capacity of district leaders to engage stakeholders in developing/revising written program procedures that align with the district’s mission and vision and are consistently implemented. 

    • Increase alignment of written procedures across district programs and systems.

    • Increase consistency in how procedures are implemented across sites

    The Mock On-Site Review process guides district and/or school teams through an internal program review (program evaluation) and get feedback from colleagues to identify program strengths and areas for improvement. Each participating district/school determines the focus area(s) for their review, based on the indicators found in the MDE District/School On-Site Review Study Guides (posted on the MDE On Site Review Materials website).
